have these ready FIVE TOOLS

Brake Cleaner

Generic automotive brake cleaner. Removes silicone, oil and fingerprints from the plastics before you apply anything.

Plastic Squeegee

Plastic, not metal. Metal scratches both the plastic and the laminate face of the vinyl.

Heat Gun

Required. A hair dryer doesn't generate enough heat to activate the adhesive or soften the vinyl on curves.

Sharp Scissors

For trimming overlap and cutting carrier-film tabs as you peel the kit away during application.

Lint-Free Cloth

Household paper roll works. Standard cloth fibres leave traces under the vinyl and weaken adhesion.

Stuck on the install? Ask before the adhesive sets.

STUCK?

First-time install? Awkward plastics? Cold workshop and the heat gun isn't softening the vinyl? Stop and ask — easier to talk it through now than to peel and reapply later.

Email info@backyarddesign.co.uk with photos. Or rewatch the — it covers most edge cases.

NO WATER · NO SOAP · 24-HOUR CURE · ASK IF YOU'RE STUCK

the install DRY. HEAT GUN. MIDDLE OUT.

Pros apply Backyard kits dry. Heat gun, never a hair dryer. Middle out, one panel at a time, with a 24-hour cure before you ride.

Watch the tutorial once before you start. Keep the checklist nearby. Take your time — a clean install holds up for a full season.
